House Rebrand
At Staughton College, we are proud to embrace and celebrate the rich cultural heritage of Australia’s First Nations peoples through the names of our four houses. Each house name is inspired by ancient Dreamtime stories, connecting our school community to the deep wisdom and traditions that have shaped this land for millennia.
- Dantum – Symbolising strength, resilience, and community, this house inspires students to face challenges with courage and support one another.
- Koruk Guro – Representing the bond between land, culture, and people, this house values a respect for nature and the wisdom of the past.
- Thara – Emphasising harmony and balance, this house encourages collaboration, positive relationships, and personal growth.
- Djurt Djurt – A symbol of creativity and transformation, this house inspires students to innovate, embrace change, and contribute to positive community impact.
Each of these names carries with it the essence of Dreamtime teachings, and through the Staughton College house system, we aim to instil values of strength, unity, respect, and creativity in our students. The rebrand is a tribute to the culture and stories that have shaped the land and continues to inspire us all.
