Child Safety Policy

Staughton College is committed to providing a safe, supportive and inclusive environment for all students, staff and members of our community. Our school recognises the importance of the partnership between our school and parents and carers to support student learning, engagement and wellbeing. We share a commitment to, and a responsibility for, creating an inclusive and safe school environment for our students.

Staughton College is a Child Safe School. We have zero tolerance for child abuse and are committed to:

  • The holistic safety and wellbeing of all children and young people and to;
  • Protecting children and young people from all forms of abuse.

Every person involved in Staughton College has a responsibility to understand the important and specific role they play individually and collectively to ensure that the safety and wellbeing of all children and young people is at the forefront of what they do and every decision that they make.

Our Child Safety Policy outlines our school’s vision, values and expectations of our school community. Our Policy and Code of Conduct are made available to all staff, students, families, contractors, suppliers and the wider community and is attached below.

We ask our families, external agencies linked with any of our students, and students to familiarise themselves with the Child Safe information so that risks are managed appropriately and potential harm can be minimised.
