The time has come for Staughton’s Annual Athletics Carnival.

All students are reminded that attendance is compulsory either as a competitor or a supporting spectator for the day. Rolls will be marked in class prior to students leaving for the track and also prior to returning back to school. This will contribute to the students overall attendance percentage.

Moonee Valley Athletics Track (Corio St, Moonee Ponds)

Getting There

Students will be expected to arrive at school as normal (8:55 am) in order to be transported (by bus) to the track. Please ensure you arrive at school on time and go to your period 1 class to have the roll marked. Start time for the program will be 10.00 am at the track.

Students will not be permitted to enter the track unless they arrive to the venue by bus from the college.

The program is expected to finish at approx. 2.30 pm. ALL students will be transported back to school and dismissed from the College soon after. Students may not stay at the track and must return to school for dismissal. NOTE: Parents please be aware that students may be dismissed before 3.10 pm depending on which bus they travel on back to school after the event or slightly late.

What to bring?

VCAL students will again be providing a sausage sizzle and other food. Students are also encouraged to bring their own packed lunch.

What to wear?

Students are encouraged to wear house colours/coloured costumes on the day or their correct PE uniform. Prizes will be given for best dressed on the day!! Please ensure you wear appropriate clothing for the day, as it may be a little chilly. Coats and school jumpers for when students aren’t participating would be a good idea. Face painting and hair spray will be available at the track.
