Students across year 7 to 10 will begin sitting their semester 2 OnDemand tests for literacy and numeracy in week 7. OnDemand is a standardised adaptive test that determines the academic year level that students are currently achieving. Our focus for OnDemand is the learning growth students have made over 6 months. At Staughton College, we value and celebrate the effort of students who have shown learning growth over a 6-month period, regardless of their starting level.

OnDemand testing provides valuable information for classroom teachers, tutorial teachers, and Learning Coordinators, and helps teachers plan lessons that are targeted at the appropriate level for each student. This approach provides students with content that is at the level they are ready to learn and gives them their best chance of achieving success.

OnDemand testing will continue until week 9, so please speak to your child and emphasise the importance of always making your best effort. Students should also speak to their Maths teachers about the date of their numeracy test and make sure they bring their calculator to school on that day.
